PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

Our PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. The course builds on what you have already learned, and develops new capabilities by introducing you to activities that will enhance your experience, skills and knowledge as a diver.
This certification level is required for diving on all of our Boat Dives as well as any dive boat on the Northeast Coast.

The 5 Open Water Dives will introduce you to new ways to have fun, and involve you in various underwater tasks that will broaden your diving awareness. During the class, you will complete the following Adventure Dives:

Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive                                                                                                                        
Underwater Navigation Dive                                                                                          
Search and Recovery Dive                                                                                                       
Deep Dive
Wreck Dive  

These Adventure dives will also count as the first dive of the corresponding Specialty Course, toward the Master Scuba Diver rating.

Entry Requirements:

PADI Open Water Diver certification, or have an equivalent certification from another training organization.
You must be at least 12 years of age to participate in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

OR eLearning: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver eLearning Program. Deluxe data carrier  

(This program includes lifetime access to the PADI Digital Advanced Open Water Diver Manual).  You can start this program anytime, anywhere as long as you have an internet connection.

Equipment Needed:

You will need the following equipment for the course:
Mask
Fins
Snorkel
BCD with low pressure inflator system
Single hose regulator with alternate air source device
Submersible pressure gauge (computers are acceptable)
Depth gauge (computers are acceptable)
Compass (computers are acceptable)
Bottom timing device (computers are acceptable)
Weight system and weights
Dive knife or tool
Audible surface signaling device (whistle or other noise maker) Underwater light  Slate with pencil

Price: $199

Our course includes five Open Water Dives at Dutch Springs and your new certification card. All course materials are additional. If registering for eLearning there is a $130 online fee paid directly to PADI to start the process.

Certification Awarded:

Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver Certification Card.

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER / ENRICHED AIR SPECIALTY DIVER COMBO

The PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) course is PADI’s most popular specialty course and can be done in conjunction with your Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver training. Scuba diving with enriched air gives you more no decompression dive time – which means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.

This course covers the Advanced Open Water Diver Course, Enriched Air Course online and a Practical Application session where you learn how to analyze Enriched Air cylinders, obtain Enriched Air and plan Enriched Air dives. You will complete 5 Adventure Dives, and on two of them you will use Enriched Air. The academic portion of the Enriched Air program is taken online through PADI eLearning.

PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification from another certification organization.
You must be at least 15 years of age to participate in the course.

Our course includes five Open Water Dives at Dutch Springs and the use of two Enriched Air tanks.  All course materials are additional.  If registering for Advanced Open Water Diver eLearning there is a $130 fee to start the course, and when registering for Enriched Air eLearning, there is a $205 fee to start the course. These fees are paid directly to PADI for the online portion of the program(s). The course also includes your new certification cards.                                                                                                                         

Certification Awarded:

Upon successful completion, you will receive your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification Card and PADI Enriched Air Diver Certification Card.
