PADI Open Water Diver Course

Dosil’s offers two different formats of the PADI Open Water Diver course. Your course includes classroom sessions, or you can choose our eLearning program, along with pool sessions, and use of scuba diving equipment which includes a buoyancy compensating device, a regulator with dive computer, scuba tanks, as well as your wetsuit for the Open Water Dives at Dutch Springs, and your new certification card.

Entry Requirements:
*You must be at least 10 years of age to participate in the PADI Open Water Diver course.

You can start this program anytime, anywhere as long as you have an internet connection.

Equipment Needed:
All of the equipment you need to participate in the class is included – except your mask, snorkel, fins and boots, gloves, hood, weights and weight belt. Students are required to provide these items, since they are very personal and should be individually fitted. We encourage our students to purchase their own additional personal items, as fit and comfort are very important to the enjoyment of diving. These items may also include a wetsuit.

You can pick up all the equipment that you will need for the course at our full service dive shop!

In time you may want to invest in owning your own scuba equipment such as regulator, buoyancy compensator, and dive computer. At Dosil’s we have special student package pricing discounts for all our students.

Schedule & Dates:
Beginning your scuba training is easy and convenient, designed to fit the busy schedules of just about everyone. We offer you a choice of learning the academic sections in a classroom setting or online, and all pool training is done in our on-site heated pool. Your Open Water Training Dives will be conducted on a weekend following the academic/pool sessions, at Dutch Springs.

Academic classroom sessions are conducted from 6:30pm-7:30pm.

Programs with academics done through eLearning begin at 7:30pm

Pool sessions are conducted from 7:30pm-10:30pm.

When registering for eLearning there is a $130 online fee paid directly to PADI to start the process.

If none of the formats above work for you, we also have Private and Semi-Private Courses(2-3 students) available that can fit your needs. Call for pricing and scheduling.

*Students who are 10 or 11 years old are only eligible to participate in our Private or Semi-Private Courses. Two 10 and/or 11 year old students is the maximum number in a course.

Certification Awarded:
Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive your PADI Open Water Diver or PADI Junior Open Water Diver Certification Card.
